Certification updates

February 10th, 2010 by Andrew

Well, if you’ve kept track of my blog here you’ll know that I’ve been slowly pursing my A+, Network+, and possibly Security+ certifications for a long while now (over 2 1/2 years). Well, I started with N+ and swapped to A+ and never could quite get the hang of the ‘way’ the material was presented as some of it was out-dated content. So I’d work on it here and there.

Well, good news is I got a call from my training company letting me know of the updates from 2006 to the new 2009 A+! So now it will incorporate more current material. Only bad part is I will have to restart all over since materials covered are dispersed in different sections now. Either way, I’ll be on top of the game if/when I finish this one!

On top of college and this, I should land a decent I.T. job somewhere. :)

Thanks!

Credibilty followup

December 13th, 2009 by Andrew

In my regular blog I mentioned how I had no clue what my next step in life was (“The present-future” post) and in this blog post (“Credibility”) I mention not having the credibility to do the work I know how to do. Well, I’m going to start school in January, thanks to Danielle’s steadfast motivation, pray btwn me and God, and encouragement from others. This way, I’ll prayerfully acquire an Associate of Applied Science as a Computer Support Specialist.

Pray for me that I learn what I need to succeed and graduate in a couple years. Hopefully, then LUVR Services will take-off better. Speaking of which, I officially retired the Web Design aspect of LUVR Services. Now I only focus on tech services and networking. Lot easier and more of my goal. I don’t have the new-age web design skills required so it felt best. Maybe after schooling I’ll have some skills and can re-establish WD.

For now, enjoy an extra 15% off any consultation with LUVR Services through February 1, 2010!

Much Love in Christ,

Andrew

Credibility

April 10th, 2009 by Andrew

Probably one of the two biggest reasons people do not use LUVR Services is because I do not have the certifications and/or degrees to back what I know. Trust me, I know my stuff. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not one of those kind of people with an inflated ego because I for sure know that there’s always room to learn and expand your knowledge and experience base regardless of who you are, your age, or your career.

That aside, I’m in the process of working towards my CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications. Hopefully when I’m done with that, I have my sights set on going to Western Governors University (WGU) which is a regionally and nationally accredited online-only school (wgu.edu). The tuition is lower and more affordable for me than most other schools of choice, nevertheless it’s still expensive.

Anyhow, if all things go as planned in the perfect world, I should, in the next 5 years, have obtained both my certifications and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BS in IT) degree. The good thing is that while obtaining my BS IT, the degree implements about 8 certifications (among the two I’m already working towards) so that will more than quadruple my creditability giving me 8 or so certifications and a bachelor’s degree.

Even if LUVR Services does not live to become a full-fledged IT business, I’ll have the dignity and pride that I strived for what I want. Plus, having such will allow me to obtain much greater pay with other IT companies.

So in the mean time, I hope you’ll still keep LUVR Services in mind as your # 1 choice for excellent PC/Networking/Website needs and good old fashioned customer service.

In Christ,

Andrew

p.s. Happy Easter to all!

Retired Services

March 18th, 2009 by Andrew

I’ve retired a few more Services from LUVR. Both LUVR Graphics and LUVR Training have been retired because they have been reviewed and do not seem to be an appropriate fit for LUVR Services. I will still offer my expertise from these I.T. fields but will not openly use them in conjunction with LUVR Services in general.

It seems that LUVRS has gone from the peak of 6 Services back down to the original two it was founded on: Technical Services and Web Design (Networking is merged with Technical Services) thus making things much more simple!

I look forward to working with you soon!!! Now that this change has occured, I hope it also will make your PC/Network needs easier to achieve with LUVR Services.

God Bless,

Andrew

Helping Out

February 7th, 2009 by Andrew

Well, it’s not rocket science to know that majority if not everyone is suffering from this economy “fluke”. No doubt the cycle has to continue (businesses sell, people buy, etc.)
At least throughout June of 2009, I am going to offer 25% of of all consultations with LUVR Services (excluding Service Charge). That way, you can save a lot more green in your pocket and still get your pc/network needs taken care of.

Visit the LUVR Services website for contact information and for quote forms.

God bless,

Andrew

Special Christmas Discount!!!

November 13th, 2008 by Andrew

For all of my repeat and new clients…

During the Christmas season, from Nov 15, 2008 through Jan.1, 2009, all services will offer 25% off of your consultation and 2 stamps on your FCD card. Now’s the best time to get your PC or Network jobs done!

*Discount excludes Service Charge.

This is just a small way to say thank you and to encourage you to get all your technical-related stuff taken care of. Remember, my prices are already lower than that of most computer companies so this is even better!

Enjoy and thank you again for all you do!

Andrew

UPDATE: 12/13/2008 — I’ve drastically updated the LUVR Services website (content wise). There’s no longer a personal member area (PMA) due to login and password issues AND for lack of being able to automate processes.  So there won’t be anymore talk of PMA or issues thereof. Only if a safe and flexible system is found will I consider a new PMA. It’s actually much simpler the revised way not having so many steps to go through.

Thanks!

Site Update

June 19th, 2008 by Andrew

Just an update for clients and visitors. I recently have moved the LUVR site to its own subdomain. Although it was named luvr.wandrewc.com not all of the files reflected this and they went to wandrewc.com/luvr/ instead. So I prayed, crossed my fingers, and swapped it over to a subdomain. Now, hopefully everything will be correct. If you noticed an image, link or whatnot that is showing up (or not showing up) just let me know so I can fix it to make your browsing experience better at LUVRS.

Thanks and God bless!

LUVR Services update

April 29th, 2008 by Andrew

Thanks to the Lord and some friends, an idea popped in my head on “how” to design the non-WordPress areas of my site. So I modled everything from this WP theme and it appears to work great!

Thanks to all of my clients for your business.

Have a blessed day!

Merging Site/Blog

April 21st, 2008 by Andrew

Well, its been a week or two since I setup the new blog/site and I just can’t seem to figure out how to merge all the pages from the site. I may have to keep some pages or directories on the regular site with the old design.

If you do find a link or links that are broken or go to the wrong page or whatnot, please reply to this message or email me and let me know so I can fix it.

Have a blessed day!

Welcome!

April 13th, 2008 by Andrew

Welcome to the new LUVR Services website. This is ten-fold better than the prior layout. A blog and a website all in one. So, I hope that you enjoy it and can make use of it and my services.

For those who are new to LUVR Services (LUVRS), LUVRS is a small business that I own of a select set of services that I have extensive skill or knowledge in that particular field within the computer/networking industry.

The prices for LUVR Services are second to none. Think of web designing, thousands of companies charge from $500 to well over $10,000. Yeah, that’s a lot. I don’t nearly charge $500 dollars so you know you’ll still get great, quality service for half the price of the “other guys”. My other services also have affordable prices that are not off the charts and again, you’ll get the services you want.

Listen/read about why you should use my services.
